Barcelona, 9-10 July, 2012.The legal and political aspects of Online Entertainment will be the main focus of the 8th International Conference on Internet, Law & Politics (IDP 2012), which will be held in Barcelona, on the 9th and 10th of July 2012.

The fast-growing penetration of the Internet, the improvement of broadband networks and the arrival of the New Generation Networks are fostering the flourishing of online entertainment. Social networking sites, UGC platforms, online video games, internet gambling, content delivery networks, new ways of delivering audiovisual contents on demand, are just some examples of this phenomenon.

The Conference is developed and organised by the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Open University of Catalonia, UOC) Law and Political Sciences department under the auspices of the Internet Interdisciplinary Institute (IN3).
